Recently I bought a book about Picasso’s sketchbooks, including many drawings and descriptions of the periods of his life they were created. He had about 175 of them, and it has pushed me to keep up with the drawing. I counted my sketchbooks and was amazed to discover that I have over 40 of them so far. Like his, mine are sometimes full, and sometimes half empty never to be filled.
