I finally replaced my old original slow, cracked iPad with the latest IPad Pro. Some of the illustrators that I follow on Instagram use it for sketching and painting, and I'm intrigued by the possibilities. I've got a lot to learn but it is very fun so far. The Apple Pencil slips across the surface so easily that it forces me to be spontaneous and willing to be out of the lines.
